About IMA Manipur

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) is the largest organization of modern-medicine doctors in India, with over 3.7 lakh members, 34 state branches, and 1,702 local branches. Based in New Delhi, it works to protect doctors' interests and promote public health.

Founded in 1928, the IMA has contributed significantly to India's healthcare growth and upholds the dignity and security of medical professionals. It runs academic institutions like the IMA College of General Practitioners and publishes journals such as the Journal of the Indian Medical Association. IMA supports members through social welfare schemes and encourages young professionals through the Medical Students Network (MSN) and Junior Doctors Network (JDN).

The Manipur State Branch (IMA MSB), established in 1961 with 1,126 members, expanded further in 2022. It promotes cultural and academic activities, offers fellowship courses, and conducts regular CME programs for continuous medical education.
